Our commitment to creating high-quality, lasting bags led us on a new journey. In 2024, with the support of a 50-50 matching grant from the Business Assistance Facility II (BAFII), our team had the incredible opportunity to train with a Thai expert in the art of bag making. For two intensive weeks, we honed our skills, learning everything from intricate pattern creation to the deep knowledge of materials. This initiative wasn't just a training session—it was an investment in our craft. The knowledge and precision we gained are now infused into every piece we create, ensuring that each bag is not only beautiful but truly a work of art.
In June 2024, we had the fantastic opportunity to participate in the "Handicraft and Employment Generation for Micro and Small Handicraft Female Entrepreneurs in Lao PDR" project. This valuable initiative, implemented by the Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Promotion and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce with support from Regional Trade for Development (RT4D), allowed our team to gain new knowledge and contribute to a meaningful cause. As part of this training, we learned advanced sewing techniques and pattern-making from the talented "Phai Exclusive Craft," and even mastered the art of using rattan as a new material for our bags. This project has not only enhanced our skills but has also deepened our passion for our craft.
Through this program, our team has gained knowledge in financial management and teamwork. A key focus was encouraging employees to develop leadership skills by openly sharing their opinion and ideas, as well as fostering stronger connections with colleagues.
